NVQ Level 2 – 1 day a week at college (days will vary) 9.30am – 4.00pm and a minimum of 16 hours a week in a hairdressing salon.

Duration:- 1 to 2 years.

 

City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing includes to following 9 units:

1. Ensure Your Own Actions Reduce Risk to Health and Safety
2. Give Clients a Positive Impression of Yourself and Your Organisation
3. Advise and Consult with Clients
4. Shampoo and Condition Hair and Scalp
5. Change hair colour
6. Style and finish hair
7. Set and dress hair
8. Cut hair using basic techniques
9. Plait and twist hair

 

Government funded, your salon pays only £200 which includes your start up kit and uniform.

 

Practical training, theory input, on line testing, key skills and assignments.

 

Employed by a salon, personal interview

 

16 - 18 year olds with a passion for hairdressing,  some funding  available for 19+.
